• The European Convention of Human Rights

    It concretizes some of the rights and freedoms embedded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and clarifies a list of fundamental rights, such as the right of life, prohibition of torture, slavery and forced labour, right of liberty and security, the right for a fair trial, respect of privacy and family life, freedom of thought, conscience and religion, freedom of expression and assembly of association, the right to marry, the right to an effective remedy and prohibition of discrimination.

International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights is independent of any government, political ideology, economic power of any and every religious group. Please note that the CIPDH funded mainly by our membership and public donations.
CIPDH is a group of specialists in various aspects of the activity. Lawyers, lawyers, doctors, civil servants, men of art and scholars are members CIPDH - contribute to the matter of the protection of human rights.

The main purpose of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights is to promote all the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other founding documents, particularly the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
To achieve the statutory purpose the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights performs the following tasks:
• provides legal assistance in European and world to those who need legislation;
• diffuse among the people the ideas expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international charters that character;
• Conduit activity for the organization of humanitarian and charitable actions;
• spreading information about people and organizations deserve special recognition for their achievements in the fight for the respect of human rights, through the use of media, printed publications and electronic systems (INTERNET);
• realize the financial and advisory support, including support staff, public institutions and individuals deserving of special recognition for their achievements in the fight for the respect of human rights;
• creates the analysis and leads various statistical facts relating to the breach of human rights and their influence on society;
• contributes to the development of relations between the associations of the countries of the European Union and other countries working in the field of protection of human rights.
• implements financial support program for socially backward classes protected (invalids, children alone, lone elderly, etc.)

The importance of the Convention lies not just in the rights it protects but also in the supervisory system set up to consider alleged violations and ensure that states abide by their treaty obligations. This requires them to grant these rights and freedoms to anyone within their jurisdiction, and not just their own nationals.–Council of Europe

L’importance de la Convention réside non seulement dans l’étendue des droits qu’elle protège, mais aussi dans le système de contrôle mis en place pour examiner les violations alléguées et veiller au respect par les Etats de leurs obligations découlant de la Convention, à savoir la reconnaissance de ces droits et libertés à toute personne relevant de leur juridiction, et pas seulement à leurs ressortissants.–Conseil de l'Europe

Die Bedeutung der Konvention liegt nicht nur in der großen Bandbreite der von ihr geschützten Rechte, sondern auch und vor allem im Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte, der zur Überprüfung geltend gemachter Verstöße gegen ihre Bestimmungen geschaffen wurde. Der Gerichtshof kontrolliert somit auch die Erfüllung der sich aus der Konvention ergebenden Verpflichtungen durch die einzelnen Staaten. Damit erlangen die Rechte und Freiheiten der Konvention für alle Personen unter der Gerichtsbarkeit eines Staates Gültigkeit und nicht nur für die eigenen Staatsbürger.–Europarat
